Sermons on the Antichrist by St. John Henry Newman (Author)
$15.00
Nearly two centuries ago, St. John Henry Newman reflected on a question that remains strikingly relevant: What happens when faith is gradually pushed out of public life and confined entirely to the private sphere?
In this compelling volume, four of Newman’s Advent sermons on the Antichrist are brought together in one collection. Drawing from Sacred Scripture and the teachings of the Church Fathers, Newman examines the signs, spiritual dangers, and circumstances traditionally associated with the coming of the Antichrist.
Written in the nineteenth century, his reflections address themes that continue to resonate with Catholics today: the place of religion in society, the weakening of visible expressions of faith, spiritual deception, and the importance of remaining faithful to Christ in a changing world.
More than a book about the end times, this collection invites the reader to deepen his understanding of the Catholic faith, cultivate spiritual vigilance, and consider what it means to remain steadfast in Christ when faith is challenged by the surrounding culture.
A thought-provoking addition to a Catholic home library and an excellent choice for Advent reading, spiritual formation, personal study, or meaningful conversation about faith and culture.
